Quad Index
Test of quadriceps strength output
Repeatedly assessing and quantifying quadriceps capacity is an essential metric in decision making, but is especially important in return to sport rehab.
Achieving <10% quad asymmetry is a goal in almost all knee rehabilitation conditions, and helps set up the athlete for success.
ACL re-tear rates are much higher in patients who return to sport with large asymmetries in quad strength. Assessing the injured leg compared to the non-involved limb is a great way to objectify asymmetry.

ROTATOR CUFF STRENGTH
External:Internal Rotation Ratio or Addressing Shoulder Rotation
Measure seamlessly at 90 degrees abduction with 90 degrees ER, or at neutral degrees of abduction, or at whichever joint angle may be specific to the athlete or patient’s goals.
The ratio of ER/IR strength can be helpful in predicting throwing injuries of the shoulder or elbow in youth baseball players.
